FOR YOUR FIRM

The answers your IT and data protection will ask for.

LitArbi is built to pass a firm’s checks: the data stays with you, IT controls the rollout, and the licence fits the way firms buy software.

Where the data livesOn the lawyer’s Mac or PC, or on an encrypted external drive. Shared matters on the firm’s own LitArbi Server, on its own web hosting — nothing passes through us.
What reaches usAn anonymous licence check. No usage tracking, no documents, no matter names.
AIOff until someone clicks it — and then only to the provider the firm chose, with the firm’s own key, or to a local model that never leaves the computer. Every call is recorded in the matter’s AI protocol.
EncryptionPassword protection for the app or a single matter; on the server, files encrypted at rest and matters end-to-end encrypted on request.
Rollout on WindowsMSI packages for x64 and ARM64; Group Policy templates for the licence, the server address and updates.
Rollout on the MacSigned and notarized by Apple; a configuration profile (MDM) sets the licence, the server address and updates.
Teams and shared mattersLitArbi Server on the firm’s own web hosting: shared matters in step within seconds on every Mac, PC and browser, a numbering lock for the whole team, and a complete working copy on each computer, offline too.
Roles and guestsAdministrators, lawyers and staff, and guests. Co-counsel, experts or the client see only the matters they are invited to — with two-step sign-in and an end date if you like — and are free.
Microsoft 365LitArbi Server can keep the exhibit files in one SharePoint site of the firm’s choice, through Microsoft Graph with Sites.Selected: no other site, no mailbox, no OneDrive.
Records and recoveryAn activity log on the server; replaced and deleted records stay 30 days, or up to 180, and come back with one click; many deletions within minutes are flagged with “Undo all”.
LicencesOne key covers Mac and Windows. Firm keys for many computers, handed out by IT or by the firm’s LitArbi Server — and lockable.
UpdatesAutomatic, notify only, or off: the firm decides.
BuyingPer lawyer, billed yearly or monthly; volume pricing from 10 lawyers and a firm-wide licence on request.
VendorA German company under EU data protection law (GDPR) — details in the imprint.

Questions firms ask

Is LitArbi made for large law firms?
Yes — and for a single lawyer too. LitArbi Server shares a firm’s matters between Macs, Windows PCs and browsers within seconds, with a numbering lock for the team, roles, free guests and an activity log. IT rolls LitArbi out with MSI packages and Group Policy on Windows and a configuration profile (MDM) on the Mac, and the firm’s server hands out the licences at sign-in.
What does LitArbi Server need?
Ordinary web hosting with PHP 8, MySQL or MariaDB and HTTPS — the firm’s own, so the data stays with the firm. No Windows Server, no SQL Server licence, no background process. Exhibit files are stored encrypted, matters can be end-to-end encrypted, and LitArbi, the company, has no access. Hosted servers in the EU follow after the beta.
Does LitArbi work with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint?
Yes. LitArbi Server can keep the exhibit files in one SharePoint site the firm chooses — through Microsoft Graph with Sites.Selected, so it reaches no other site. LitArbi cites in Word for Windows and Mac, and LitArbi for Word (beta) works in Word on the iPad and on the web.
How does LitArbi differ from ExhibitManager?
Both manage exhibits and cite them from Word, for arbitration and litigation teams. LitArbi runs natively on Mac and Windows, and its server on the firm’s own web hosting; ExhibitManager runs on Windows, and its Application Server on Windows Server with Azure Active Directory and SQL Server.
